An impressive line-up of artistes is set to entertain Klang Valley folk when the month-long Sunrise Jazz & Rhythm Fest 2006 trumpets to its much-awaited start on July 28th at the Plaza Mont’Kiara fountain courtyard here in Kuala Lumpur.

Synopsis: The annual jazz event is back yet again, promising three weekends of a fusion of premier contemporary and classic jazz performances. Expect to see some jazz veterans along with some new blood industry, in this event organised by Sunrise Berhad.

Pretty cool event to practise your event photography for free.

My first attempt at event/concert type photography, it’s quite hard to get a good feel to the picture when you are shooting from below.

Exposure: 1/60 Aperture: f/4.5 Focal Length: 70 mm ISO: 800

There’s many ways I could have cropped this, but I like the mood this crop gives and the story it tells with the ensemble and the guitarist looking on, waiting for the next cue from the sax player.

Now just need the 70-200 f/2.8 VR
