Galvin: Yah totally agree, that's why I'm planning on buying some more 1GB cards, probably Extreme III :) I'll probably get myself one of those card reader hard drives too for portable storage.

ST, my past experience taught me not to shoot everything in a 2gb CF. Possibly try to have more 1gb CF cards. Bummer if your 2gb CF gone corrupted.

Remember, shit happens! LOL

Thanks ShaolinTiger, I guess 50x and 66x have become the default or rather, minimum, speed for CF cards.

Bernard: Any speed card will be fine for your camera, it doesn't really make much difference on compact cams as the continious mode isn't that fast anyway due to small buffers and long image processing time. You can go for 50x or 66x it should be fine, for SLR cameras it's recommended to use 150x or 166x.

Galvin: Rememeber read time is important too when copying 2gb of files to your PC haha

Bili: Photography of course! But we need stuff to take photographs with too.. I'm personally using a Kingston Ultra card and find its write speed is a bit slow when I'm shooting continuous so I was considering upgrading to some Extreme III cards. Kinda expensive though.

Unless your cam can write that fast...using this card on a slow cam is a waste of speed :P

Can I ask a question about CF cards? I'm not a pro. I'm using a Canon A95. I'm currently using a 3-year-old-128-MB Sandisk card from my previous A70.

I'm thinking of getting a 512MB or 1GB CF card. My question is: will using a 66x card make any difference in terms of shot-to-shot interval?
